To celebrate Filipino-American History Month (FAHM), this showcase is dedicated to spotlighting local Filipino(-American) entertainers and creatives!

Shoes Off Writer's Night--SOWN--is a weekly showcase spotlighting diverse stories from Asians, Pacific Islanders, and Allies in entertainment. SOWN occurs every Tuesday, 6-9 pm, at New Heights Brewing Company, predominantly writer's rounds with occasional, original sets from musical artists, stand-up comedians, and literary writers. In many Asian and Pacific Islander cultures, taking your shoes off before entering your home is common, providing feelings of safety and comfort. These shows aim to bring those same feelings on and offstage, enabling everyone to feel more comfortable in their skin and bodies. At SOWN, you are seen. You are heard. You have space!
